Independence Day 2015 had loads of fun events take place. One of them was the first ever Abuja Grill & BBQ Festival – a follow up from the Lagos Grill & BBQ Festival held during Easter. The event took place in the Federal Capital Territory’s Harrow Golf Park, Abuja and was supported by Jack Daniels and Pepsi.
The
festival offered guests the chance to sample different selections of
meats and delicacies, both local and from around the globe. It also
featured the distinctive barbecue styles of many food emporiums like The
Grind Grill, Jalapenos Grill, Grill In and Out, The Grill Party,
Barkano Grill, Tree House Grill, La Rouge Chef, Rebhan Grills, Seun B,
Shirleys, Franks Prime Hotdog, Japhar Grill and more.
To accompany all the delicious bites were drinks from several international drinks and spirits brands including Pepsi, Jack Daniels, Castle Milk Stout and Redds.
With
tickets sold out and an impressive turnout, the maiden edition was
indeed a success. Media personalities and A-List celebrities were in
attendance with music provided by Wande Coal, Niniola, Largess, DJ Lambo and entertainment by EmmaOhMyGod.
That’s
not all. There was much more to see with side attractions like game
trucks, recreational games, funfair for kids, a Master Class by Chef Fregz etc.
Speaking om the event, Grill Master Francis Ebie (Chief Coordinator) said – “A
huge thanks to everyone for coming to the first-ever Grill and bbq
Festival in Abuja. We hope you had a great time. Next year promises to
be bigger and better!“
The Abuja Grill & Bbq Festival was refreshed by Pepsi Nigeria, flavored by Jack Daniels and supported by Rosebud Hotel, Easy Taxi, I_Blend services, Castle Milk Stout, Redds, Play Lounge Abuja and WTWmedia.
