Dave Chappelle has come out to say R. Kelly and his “goons” crossed
him over his popular skit mocking the RnB singer’s urination video.
Based on Kelly’s “Feelin’ on Yo Booty,” the clip made fun of the
Kelly’s 2002 indictment on child pornography charges, which surfaced
following the release of a video showing a man believed to be Kelly
urinating on an allegedly underage girl. Kelly was acquitted of those
charged in 2008.
Dave shared that Kelly and his crew approached him in Chicago during a
Common concert and stated clearly that they were not happy with his
“Piss on You” skit.
Dave added that things never got heated and physical, but R.Kelly
questioned him vigorously him about the skit and asked why he did it.
Chappelle also talked about some of the criticism he’s battled after
Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries saying he wishes comedians
would spell things out the way they are with no fear of anyone getting
hurt.
