Floyd Mayweather Reacts To Critics Of His Decision To Not Boycott Gucci

Popular boxer, Floyd Mayweather has come out to tackle all reactions his stance to not boycott Gucci has attracted.

The black community began the boycott movement because of Gucci’s sweater that got released which they saw as an insult to blacks and an epitome of racism.

Some of the celebrities that have reacted negatively to the release include Soulja Boy, T.I, 50 Cent, Spike Lee and so on.

However, Floyd Mayweather was having none of it when he said, “I’m not no follower, I do what the f*ck I wanna do. You know when everybody else they say, ‘Everybody gonna boycott?’ I say guess what, this boy gonna get on a yacht and live life.”

“We all know racism still exists but that’s not gonna stop my drive. I’ve got friends from all walks of life and to me of course, black lives matter first … but my thing is this, I’m gonna continue to go out there live life and be happy.”

Getting lots of stick for his comments, Floyd could take it no more so he lashed out at his critics.
He said, “These people are playing hopscotch. First, they’re supposedly boycotting the NFL but as soon as the Super Bowl cam around, they were either at the game, watching it on TV or throwing Super Bowl parties. Last week,it was R. Kelly, this week it’s Gucci. People boycott for trend but turn around and still shop at H&M and watch the NFL.”
