War Hero Killed By Speeding Driver Who Was 'Showing Off' In His New BMW

A speeding driver has been jailed for two and a half years after he knocked down and killed a former prisoner of war while “showing off” in his brand new BMW.
Harvinder Ubbey, 37, had only had the powerful car for a day when he killed war veteran Reginald Morris, 88, who was crossing the road just yards from his home.
Aside being jailed Ubbey, was also disqualified from driving for three years after being found guilty of causing death by careless driving.
Mr Morris served in world war two aged just sixteen. However he lied about his age to vet into the army. He was captured by the Germans and kept in prison for two years. His heartbroken family has said he will be missed dearly.
