City People Honours Islamic Singers; Saoty Arewa, Iya Nkaola

The duo of top Islamic singers in Nigeria; Alhaji Abdul-Azeez-Salam wellknown as Saoty Arewa and his colleague, Alhaja Sofiat Qamardeen otherwise called Iya Nkaola, were recently honoured by popular Lagos-based soft-sell magazine, City People.

They were bestowed with the honour on Friday, September 6, 2013 at an all Islamic music concert organized by the magazine in recognition for their contributions and philosophical to their genre of music.

Over 20 Islamic artistes performed at the event held at Etal Hall, Ikeja, Lagos.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Saoty Arewa received an award for best Islamic artiste of the year.
