Investigation After Road Caves In Outside Restaurant And Swallows Up 12 Cars

Authorities are probing just how a massive cave-in which swallowed up 12 vehicles outside a restaurant happened.

Incredibly no one was injured as the road sunk in on itself in Meridian, Mississippi last night.

A scene such as this could usually be said to be a sinkhole - a hole that appears in the ground when water below dries, leaving a void - however local public safety director Buck Roberts confirmed this was not the case and says the incident will be probed. See more photos below.
