Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN), a global partner of Junior Achievement Worldwide has been in existence since 1919 and started operations in Nigeria in 1999. Our goal is to prepare young citizens to succeed in the global economy by bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace. We deliver FREE programs built on Junior Achievement’s three (3) pillars for success; Entrepreneurship, Work readiness and Financial literacy to primary-NYSC students.
Former JAN participants; now JAN Ambassadors such as Sim Shagaya (CEO Konga) and Toyosi Akerele (CEO/Founder, Rise Networks),
credit JAN for empowering their entrepreneurial visions. We aim to
reach 1,000,000 by 2020 and so far we have reached over 600,000 through
the support of patrons and unpaid volunteers.
Each
year, JA Nigeria organizes a fundraising event to support the delivery
of our programs to public and private schools public; especially the
underserved public schools. The JAN Fun Run is a fundraising initiative by JA Nigeria, while encouraging health and wellness within our communities.
